I am still waiting for a call from my doctor's office to get an appointment for my ultrasound. I really appreciate all your sweet (reassuring) comments you left on my last post. Thank you!

22 weeks

I do not love to post pictures of myself pregnant (or have then taken for that matter) so this may be it for this pregnancy, just so you know. :)

This is me today. 22 weeks pregnant.

Why is it that we have to get bigger in the front AND the back?

I had my 22 week appointment today. My doctor told me I need to have another ultrasound. A level 2 ultrasound at a different office because they found a cyst in the baby's brain. I don't remember what she called it so I can't Google it (thank goodness, I think I might freak myself out by doing so) to see how common it is. My doctor told me not to worry at this point, so I am not. She said that if we find on the ultrasound that it has started to fill with fluid then we will talk at that point about what is going on. Really, I am not too worried, but prayers would be appreciated. I will let you know what happens at the ultrasound. I do not have an appointment yet but it should be in the next couple of weeks.

Now, so you can leave my blog with a better image than me and my large belly...

I love this boy! He makes me smile. :)

Wordless Wednesday- It's about stinkin' time!

Ultrasound pictures, and a little musical number from The Three Amigos!

I had my ultrasound this morning. The whole family came. Ned was the only one that really understood what was on the screen, but they were all happy to be there. Lucky and Dusty were more fascinated by my bare belly than the monitor.

Here are some of the pictures we got a few weeks ago. Something was not working on my Photoshop today so I do not have any from today. Sorry.








The Three Amigos are very excited. They prepared a little song and dance for their baby, and to introduce our baby's blog name to you.



It's my new favorite song! We can't wait to meet you, Buttercup!

Going Green

Well, I don't know if this qualifies as going green, but we did do some recycling today. My boys will be home from school for four days (and that is following Dusty being home sick for three days) and I needed to keep them busy and me from going crazy. I was cleaning out the crayon tub and started to throw away the tiny pieces when I remembered that I had always wanted to recycle crayons.

First we unwrapped the old crayons.









Then broke them into smaller pieces. It was a little harder for some of us than others.





Put them in a muffin tin with liners.



Melted them in the oven (Dusty sat there for almost 20 minutes watching them melt).





When they were done cooling the boys unwrapped them and were thrilled with the results.



It was a very fun project for the Amigos and kept them busy for almost two hours, plus the time they spent coloring afterwards.

I Love LIFE

El Guapo and I have been married for ten years. It is amazing how much life can change in just 10 years.

When I was a little girl I loved to play The Game of LIFE. I have never been very interested in board games, but one that you get married and have kids, that's my kind of game! I would even play it by myself, spinning the wheel over and over until I landed on the Getting Married, Baby Boy, Baby Girl, or Twins spaces (whew! glad that last one never happened in real life!) So, when I heard a song called The Song of LIFE on the kids radio station it immidiatly brought back memories and I thought it was a great theme song for me and El Guapo. I love El Guapo and I am glad he is the little blue peg sitting next to me in the game of life.
