The Aftermath

These are some pictures we took around town of the trees that were broken by the heavy ice. It is so sad to think how old these trees are and that they have survived such strong winds around here but could not handle the weight of the ice.
I think the most amazing pictures are #'s 1,10,11,12,and 19.
I am sure glad we live in a new neighborhood with tiny little trees that just bent over a little.

Those are some good shots. I've been meaning to go out and take some shots of the broken trees. People are starting to clean up so I'm missing the chance. Maybe I'll have to borrow some of yours if I ever get around to scrapping it. Oh, and by the way I'm a little retarded (ok, a lot retarded) and I can't figure out the slide show thing so maybe you can help a friend out :)

It looks so much like our town a few years ago. We have huge trees in our neighborhood but were lucky enough to only lose a couple of small limbs. Our backyard neighbor's had PILES of branches. It is still really sad to see trees half missing all over town. So many trees were lost. It took months to clean everything up. I should post pictures someday.

You have done a good job of documenting this storm..Put your boys in a few pictures, so years from now, you will remember just when that was (the storm of '07)and they will remember what they thought and felt.
